The Lace
Two Ways To Lace It.
Every Findlay comes with the Stampede Lace. Here are the two ways to run it, laid out step by step. The graphic for each is right below.
How To Use Your Lace
The Quick Way · 3 Steps
- Attach the wood clip and align it to the center seam. Keep the lace tight enough to support itself, but not so tight that it pulls the side panels forward.
- Bring the lace down around your chin.
- Tie a half shoelace knot under the clip if you are on the water, for added security.
How To Tie Your Lace
The Looped Look · 5 Steps
- Attach the wood clip and align it to the center seam. Keep the lace tight enough to support itself, but not so tight that it pulls the side panels forward.
- Loop the lace around itself. Outside, loop in, outside.
- Pull tight and center the loops. We like it where the stitching meets the crown.
- Put the lace back through the grommets.
- Have some good times.

Good to know: you do not need to tie the half shoelace knot unless you are heading into the water.
