We Built It.
A Few People Broke It.
The affiliate program was for the Findlay Force. Share the hats you already love, get paid for it. That part worked, and we loved watching it work.
Codes leaked onto coupon sites within days of going live. People built fake accounts to refer themselves. Orders got placed, commissions got claimed, and then the charges came back as disputes.
Every week the job drifted further from making hats and further toward policing a discount code. We could have kept patching it with more rules, more approvals, and more people watching the watchers.
That's a full time job we don't want, paid for with money that belongs in better hats and better drops. So we're closing the program instead of half running it.
None of that has anything to do with the people who used it right. You still get paid, on the terms below.

Still Happens
- Commission you already earned still gets paid
- Payouts go out within 60 days of the referred order being delivered
- You get paid through the payout method already on your affiliate account
- Email us with any payout question and a real person answers
- You keep your spot in the Findlay Force
Just Ended
- Affiliate codes no longer work at checkout
- New signups are closed
- No new commission builds up on new orders
- The 15% referral discount is retired
- The signup form and affiliate pro tips page are retired
Your Code Stopped Working
We switched off every affiliate code on August 5, 2026. If a friend tries to use one it'll fail at checkout, and no commission gets recorded. Point them at the Friday drop instead.
Why 60 Days
Commission is tied to orders that stick. We wait for the hat to reach the customer and for the return window to close before we release your balance. An order delivered next week pays out sooner than one delivered next month.
The Fine Print
How Your Final Payout Works.
- What Gets Paid
- Commission on qualifying referred orders placed on or before August 5, 2026. We calculate your balance the same way we always did.
- Timing
- Within 60 days of the referred order being delivered. Orders delivered later pay out later, so a balance built from recent orders takes longer to land than an older one.
- How You Get It
- The payout method on file in your affiliate account: virtual or physical Visa card, PayPal, Venmo, or bank transfer.
- Checking Your Balance
- Email us and we'll send you your final balance and the orders it came from.
- Changing Your Method
- Email us and we'll switch it if your payout hasn't gone out yet. Once a payout is sent we can't pull it back.
- What Does Not Pay
- Orders that were cancelled, refunded, charged back, or flagged as self referred or fraudulent. Those never counted as earned commission and they still don't.
- Questions
- Email info@findlayhats.com with the subject line "Affiliate Payout" and include your affiliate code. A real person answers.

A Note From Jimmy.
Thank you. So many of you shared Findlay with your friends, your crews, and your comment sections. You sent people to a small hat company in Portland because you wanted to, and a lot of those people are wearing Findlays every day now.
The program still has to end. A small group treated it like a hole in the fence, and the cost of guarding that hole got bigger than the good the program was doing. I'd rather put that time and that money into the hats, the drops, and the warranty that all of you actually use.
So here's my promise. If you earned it, you get it. We're paying out every balance within 60 days of the referred orders being delivered, and if anything about yours looks wrong, email us and we'll fix it. Getting quiet on people who showed up for us is not how this ends.
