    These hats are unmatched!

    I wear one of my two Findlay hats everyday and have since put all others into hibernation mode. It's not that I can't love another hat...but I truly like the way these feel structurally. Working a physical job and legitimately smashing my head by accident hasn't shifted the shape into something weird and ill-fitting. All I need is more money to buy more hats. So get one and try the damn thing out. Or don't. If you are reading this you are most of the way there.

How it started

It started with a lost hat.

In 2005 I flipped a raft on the Toutle River and watched my hat float away. So I cut two holes in the next one and ran my shoelaces under my chin. In 2013 I named the company after my grandpa, Harold Findlay, who had a huge hat collection.

No investors. Every hat gets customized by our crew in our Portland shop, and new limited hats drop every Friday at 7 PM Pacific. Thanks for checking us out. Here's to some good times.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Rips, tears, blown grommets, pocket or snap failures, lace damage, frayed threads, smashed wood clips and factory defects. It doesn't cover normal wear, stains, mold, lost or stolen hats, or intentional damage. Read the full warranty

Where are the hats made?

We source quality hat blanks, then customize every hat in-house at our shop in Portland, Oregon: embroidery, laser-cut patches and clips, grommets, laces and the hidden pocket.
